The Coeur d'Alene Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center Vision Statement

The Coeur d'Alene Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center (RJKCCC) will embody the very best of The Salvation Army's service and mission impact for the 21st century.

The Salvation Army is committed to producing tangible outcomes that will change lives and rebuild souls of the youth, families and seniors of the five-county North Idaho region.

The Salvation Army has resolved that the development of the RJKCCC be guided at every step by the following five mission-driven principles:

  1. Be planned, developed and operated in a manner consistent with the mission of The Salvation Army: to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
  2. Remain true to the intentions of Joan Kroc: to relieve the suffering of the poor, communicate dignity, and provide opportunity to those with limited opportunities to develop their skills to the full extent of their potential.
  3. Be a beacon of hope and an agent of change in the five-county North Idaho region that will actively reach out to those who might not otherwise feel included. The center will be accessible to everyone from the youngest to the oldest in the community.
  4. Offer programs and program facilities that will enhance the quality of life, provide a place for families to grow, help unify a diverse community, and transform youth, families and neighborhoods through educational, art and recreational activities.
  5. The RJKCCC will be a magnet and anchor for the community and will be planned, developed and operated in a manner that engages true community-wide leadership, networks and support resources.
