March Progress Report

If you have not driven by the Kroc Center site lately, you will be amazed at the building's growth…in spite of continuing "winter" weather! Snow is still evident in places, but that doesn't dampen the excitement of this wonderful promise becoming reality.
The gym walls are in place, and the competition pool area is taking shape. This photo, taken in March 2008, shows the walls around the Aquatic Center area. Underground plumbing and electrical has also been started, a task which will take several months to complete for the entire project.

Progress Continues Amid Record Weather

In February, progress continued despite record snow fall in Coeur d'Alene. This month, the masonry walls of the competition swimming pool were built and concrete chapel walls were poured. Underground plumbing and electrical were started along with masonry work around the aquatics area.

Construction continues despite heavy snow showers in the new year. This photo, taken on January 8, 2008, shows the gym walls topped out by the mason at 35 feet! The mason has also begun working on the Competition pool area. The concrete chapel walls have been poured by Goebel Construction to a height of 19 feet (ultimately walls will reach a height of 52 feet). It is very exciting to see continued construction despite the cold and wet weather. We are proud of the construction teams for working so hard and staying safe!
