Chapel & Performing Arts Theater

The Chapel will be the new Salvation Army center for worship in Coeur d"Alene. As such, the other facility components will revolve around the Chapel. This element is number one on the priority list. While there are great needs for the recreational and educational components of this center in Coeur d"Alene, the greatest need of any community is the opportunity to hear the message of Jesus Christ.
The Chapel also has the ability to hold small to medium performance events, from music concerts to theater productions. It will have all the elements necessary for great productions including greenrooms, a large stage, theater lighting, and state of the art audial/visual equipment. Seating will be individual seats on a sloped floor creating both a great worship environment and performance venue.
Competitive Lap Pool

The second element in the aquatic center is a 25-meter by 25 Yard Competition Pool. This pool will facilitate the unmet needs of the growing and energetic swim clubs and the four high school swim teams in the immediate area.
More then just swim meets can be held in the competition pool; in addition, there could be life savings classes, lifeguard training, kayaking, scuba classes, water polo, aerobics, and swim lessons. In cooperation with the local school districts this pool will afford the opportunity to teach all third and forth grade students to swim.
Indoor Leisure Pool

This pool will provide slides, spray features, and adult and family spas. The leisure pool will be a magnet for area families throughout the week and for mothers with tots to gather during the week for a fun day out. It will provide a place for seniors to exercise and socialize.
The evenings and weekends will be filled with families needing a positive place to gather. The right elements will be included to attract people over and over.
Multi-Activity Court (MAC)

One of the largest spaces in the Kroc Center will be the MAC Gym. As there are a number of typical gyms with wood floors in the CdA Community. A MAC gym affords the opportunity for more than just basketball and volleyball. The synthetic floor additionally provides options for numerous indoor activities including indoor soccer, hockey, batting cages, badminton, and large banquets.
Walk/Jog Track

This elevated walk/jog track will interface with many of the other activity spaces in the Kroc Center, enhancing the attractiveness and interest of this activity. Those utilizing this walk/jog track will have views of the playfields, mountains, fitness center, natatorium, as well as other activities. With a growing senior population and the long winter days there is a great need for this element.
Fitness Facilities

A 5,350 square foot Fitness space tailored to meet family and youth needs is planned for the Kroc Center. The fitness center will be one of the primary draws and largest use areas in the facility.
Aerobics Studio

Adjacent to the Fitness Center, this element will provide a wide variety of programs to meet the growing needs of the fitness community. Dance, aerobics, spinning, martial arts, and ballet can be facilitated in this space.
Climbing Wall

Adjacent to the games activity area the climbing pinnacle will offer a variety of climbing routes for people of all skill sets.
Community Room & Kitchen

This room is divisible into three independent spaces, each with its own sound, lighting, and climate control, and kitchenette. This multi-use space provides opportunities for Bible study, worship, Sunday school classrooms, seminars, workshops, service clubs, banquets, and community meeting space. This space will be constructed with a sprung wood floor, facilitating dancing for seniors and others, and an overflow exercise room.
A full commercial kitchen will provide food service for banquets, workshops, senior meals, and Thanksgiving Dinner for the community. This space will be sized appropriately to provide an adequate service to the many Kroc Center programs.
Lounge Area

A "living room" type family atmosphere complete with fireplace for social gatherings. Including coffee bar, card / chess tables, reading materials and Internet access.
Games & Activity Area

High on the community survey was a place where teens can call home. While the signage would not indicate it, the games/activity area would be marketed towards teens. In this room will be found a variety of activities and games geared toward youth and young adults.
Dry Classrooms / Arts & Crafts

Adjacent to the Community Room/Events Hall, it will be used as a space for crafts and other activities requiring a durable room that is easy to maintain. This space can be incorporated with the Community Room/Events Hall as a stage.
Wet Classroom / Party Rooms

The party rooms will be located adjacent to the Aquatic Center and provide a place for birthday parties as well as a wet classroom for other activities including Sunday school classrooms, summer Day Camp and Vacation Bible School.
Daycare / Childcare

A necessary area for families utilizing the fitness area of the Kroc Center. This program space will likely be adjacent to the Indoor Playground.
Indoor Playground

A children’s indoor playground will provide a fun place for families to gather in a positive environment.
Recording Studio

Located on the second floor this recording studio will offer the opportunity for churches, local bands, teens and others to record music.
Vending Area / Cafe & Juice Bar

These spaces will be scattered throughout the facility and provide both a service to participants and income for the center.
Building Support

Facility Administration: This space will house the offices for the corps officers, business administration, and support staff.
Additional building support spaces: Lobby, lounge, control desk, men's, women's and family lockers, first aid, men's and women's toilets, custodial closets, building mechanical room, sprinkler room, main electrical distribution room, custodial work room/supply, general building storage, maintenance office, maintenance garage, and maintenance receiving/ loading.
