July saw amazing advances in the construction of the Coeur d’Alene Kroc Center. Workers are tying the rebar of the Chapel’s main floor. Under this slab is another floor, creating a 3’ to 4’ air space, part of the area’s state-of-the-art ventilation / heating / cooling system. Using technology that eliminates the sound of fans and blowers, the system will ensure that audiences experience wonderful acoustics, outstanding air quality, and pleasant temperatures.

Now that warmer weather is here, construction on the Kroc Center is going forward quickly and according to plan. These pictures, taken on one of our sunniest days in May, show significant progress. Multiple subcontractors are on site daily, working on all areas including the seating area for the outdoor amphitheater (right).
Workers are putting up roof trusses for the competition pool area in the photo at left. As the structure is built, it becomes clearer how vast this facility is.
